Towards a Net-Zero Future: The vital role of geothermal and solar thermal in providing sustainable cooling solutions

The webinar, “Towards a Net-Zero Future: the vital role of geothermal and solar thermal in providing sustainable cooling solutions” took place on 15.05.2023 and experts from the COOLING DOWN Consortium and beyond, gathered to explore innovative renewable cooling solutions in a changing energy market.

As the planet heats up sustainable solutions for cooling become essential for households, cities, businesses and industry. Geothermal and solar thermal are renewable, efficient, and cost-effective solutions. Integrating them into our individual and common living spaces, workplaces and manufacturing processes is a critical part of climate mitigation and adaptation. They are also key to avoiding additional stress on electricity systems and resource consumption.

Our panel of experts discussed the benefits and challenges of geothermal and solar thermal cooling.

This event was supported by the COOLING DOWN EU project, funded under the LIFE Programme.
