Project GreetGeo

GreetGeo: Accelerating geothermal innovation across Europe
EGEC is proud to be part of Greet GEO, an EU-funded project working to strengthen regional innovation ecosystems and accelerate the uptake of geothermal energy across Europe. The project focuses in particular on less developed Central European regions in the Pannonian Basin and selected outermost regions, helping SMEs and local stakeholders turn geothermal potential into concrete projects.
Through Greet GEO, partners are supporting deep and shallow geothermal development for electricity, heating and industrial applications. The project also promotes interregional cooperation, knowledge-sharing and stronger geothermal value chains, bringing together 10 partners from 8 European countries and reaching more than 10 regions and over 20 key stakeholders.
At EGEC, our role in the project includes mapping and screening innovative investment projects and investment policy opportunities, supporting stakeholder capacity development, and contributing to project facilitation and promotion. EGEC also contributes to Work Package 4 on regional action plans and de-risking.
